Wolverine proves his claws are money-makers as the next installment of the X-Men franchise easily takes the number one slot at the box office, raking in $87 million.

Beyonce and Ali Larter battle it out in for a man’s affection in Obsessed, which grossed $28.5 million last weekend, making all the other films jealous of its successful box office opener.

Zac Efron proves he is the master of dancing, basketball and is a way cooler younger version of his co-star Matthew Perry, in his new film 17 Again, which grossed $23.7 million to be number one at movie theaters last weekend.

Opening this weekend are two films which examine the complex parent-child relationship and two which showcase action and intrigue without the messy family ties.
