This July 4th weekend, in between the fireworks and hot dogs, take a break at the theater with gangsters, animated dinosaurs and hairy mammoths, or yet-another Nia Vardalos romantic comedy.

Hancock is the holiday weekend's only major studio release, all but ensuring Will Smith another blockbuster July 4th. Some interesting, smaller films will keep the Fresh Prince company.
