Ben Affleck is in final negotiations to join the cast of the Miramax comedy Extract. He’ll join Jason Bateman, Mila Kunis and Kristen Wiig, who are already on board.

The film revolves around a flower extract factory owner (Bateman) dealing with workplace problems and a streak of bad luck, including his wife's affair with a gigolo. Affleck will play his best friend. Cifton Collins Jr. has also just signed on to play a factory worker who loses a body part in a freak accident and wants a large settlement.

Mike Judge ("Bevis and Butt-Head") wrote the script and will produce Extract, scheduled to start shooting early next week in Los Angeles.
