Ben Affleck is about to sign on to star in The Company Men, and eerily current drama about a man whose life is devasted by corporate downsizing. John Wells will direct.

Wells is also writing the screenplay in which Affleck will hopefully play a man has to deal with the financial consequences of being laid off, and the effect it has on his family relationships. This could be the first major feature film that Wells has ever directed. The writer/producer/director is best known for television series like NBC's ER. You’ll next be seeing Affleck in romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You, followed by the political thriller State of Play, then the Mike Judge comedy Extract.
