XFMedia released the list of movies it will produce over the next three years with its secondary company, Xinhua Media Entertainment (XME). XFMedia is a production company in China that produces high profile collaborations between China and Hollywood.

China has the fastest growing theatrical market in the world, adding 1.6 movie screens per day. It also has enjoyed consistent box office revenue growth. Its compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over five years has been more than 30 percent, compared to developed markets such as Japan and the US, which have been flat or negative, according to XFMedia.

Since its launch in April 2008, XME has committed its company to making films illustrating Chinese culture and fostering collaborations between filmmakers, screenwriters and producers from Hollywood.

"We want to show the mainstream global audience that the Chinese film industry can do more than just period martial art films," said David U. Lee, Managing Director of Xinhua Media Entertainment.

XME Film Schedule for the Next Three Years:

Bullet Run — An international action thriller from producers Jon Shestack (Air Force One, Firewall), Max Wong and Karen Firestone.  The film is scheduled to be shot in some exotic and never-before-seen locations in China.
