Disney is celebrating its new label, Disneynature, by planting a tree for every moviegoer who comes to see the new film Earth during its opening week.

The film opens on April 22, which is also Earth Day.

This is Disney’s first new film label in 60 years, and Earth is a visual documentary from the creators of the Emmy Award winning series, Planet Earth, which is known for capturing the most intimate moments of our planet’s wildest and rarest creatures.

The film will be narrated by James Earl Jones, and tells the story of three animal families (elephants, polar bears and humpback whales) and their amazing journeys across the planet Earth.

Disney will oversee the planting of all the trees in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, which is considered among the most endangered rain forests in the world. Only seven percent of the forest at its peak remains today.

Tickets are available through the film’s website at www.disney.com/earth and via phone at 1-888-DISNEY6.
