Kung Fu Panda Creates Padamonium
Sep 15, 2008Just in time for holiday gift giving, DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. is releasing Kung Fu Panda on DVD Sunday, Nov. 9, and will include an all new companion story, Secrets of the Furious Five.
The #1 comedy of the year that made more than $600 million at the worldwide box office will have a sequel included on the DVD, which delves into the back stories of the characters from Kung Fu Panda. It will have brand new animation, but will once again feature the voices of Jack Black as the heroic and beloved Po and Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu.
Kung Fu Panda, coupled with Po's new adventure will be included in a Pandamonium Double Pack that has an anticipated retail price of under $25. In Secrets of the Furious Five, Po faces what may be his greatest challenge: trying to teach a class of young Kung Fu students. To gain the unruly group's attention, he leans on the one thing closest to his heart -- his Kung Fu fan-boy knowledge.
Secrets of the Furious Five further expands on the stories of Monkey, Tigress, Mantis, Viper and Crane as Po relates how they unlocked important lessons to become truly excellent in the art and ideals of Kung Fu. The Kung Fu Panda/Secrets of the Furious Five Pandamonium Double Pack also includes behind-the-scenes features, a tutorial on drawing favorite characters, an opportunity to learn the Panda Dance, the Kung Fu Fighting music video, a tour of Mr. Ping's noodle house, downloadable printables and game demos and more.
