Warner Bros. is reaching down into its vaults to resurrect yet another classic Sci-Fi character, none other than Looney Tunes’ Marvin the Martian. The studio is developing a CGI feature staring the Chuck Jones created alien.

Marvin the Martian made his debut in a Looney Tunes cartoon in 1948. He was a foil of Bugs Bunny, whom was constantly thwarting Marvin’s efforts to destroy planet Earth. There’s a rumor that the next time we see Marvin on screen, he will be attempting to destroy Christmas, and Bugs Bunny will come to the rescue again.

Alcon Entertainment, the production company working on the film, is responsible for other family-oriented films such as Racing Stripes and My Dog Skip. Alcon has also produced P.S. I Love You, One Missed Call and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, which will premiere Aug. 6.
