Play James Bond and go on a 'Mission for a Million'
Sep 29, 2008A national promotion called Mission for a Million developed in support of the upcoming James Bond film Quantum of Solace, allows people to compete for a chance to win a $1 million grand prize.
The contest runs Sept. 29 to Nov. 7, and asks registered "agents" to use virtual Sony high-definition products to solve missions in search of Sony's stolen HDNA. Each completed mission gives players a chance to win $1 million and a trip to a top secret location. People can enter via a dedicated site at http://www.sony.com/missionmillion
In further efforts to super merchandise and make the most out of the new James Bond flick, Sony will offer limited edition licensed 007 products including a VAIO(R) notebook computer, Micro Vault USB storage media and a Reader Digital Book, which will all be available in U.S. Sony Style retail stores and online at sonystyle.com.
It seems that promotions and products are getting more sophisticated all the time. Whatever happened to the good, old-fashioned secret decoder ring?
