SAG Award Nominees Announced
Dec 18, 2008Nominations for the 15th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced this week by Angela Bassett and Eric McCormack (Will and Grace).
The Awards will be solely selected by the actors’ peers. Two randomly selected panels (one for TV and one for film), each made up of 2,100 Guild members will vote on the winners by secret mail ballots. The official winners will be announced during the live ceremony which be broadcasted on TNT and TBS on January 25, 2009 at at 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, and 6 p.m. MT from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center.
Doubt leads the way with five nominations, and Heath Ledger receives another nomination for his supporting role as the Joker in The Dark Knight. James Earl Jones has been chosen for the 45th Life Achievement Award.
