Sneak Peak of Surveillance
Jun 18, 2009A sneak preview of David Lynch’s thriller, Surveillance, will appear on HDNet Movies, on June 24th, which is two days before its national theatrical release.
The film is directed by Jennifer Lynch (The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, Boxing Helena) and is produced by her father David (The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive). The story centers on two cops, played by Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond, who arrive at a local police station to investigate a series of murders and a missing woman. They interrogate three witnesses: a strung out junkie, a police officer and an 8-year-old girl. But as the Feds begin to expose the truth and the connections between all, they learn the truth comes at a very high price.
Surveillance premiered at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival and already has won three awards including two (Best Director, Best Actress) at The New York City Horror Film Festival. The younger Lynch was the first female to receive the Best Director Award. The film also won Best Film at the Catalonian International Film Festival.
Surveillance premieres on HDNet Movies on Wednesday, June 24, at 8:15 p.m. EDT with encore presentations at 10:00 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. ET.
