Studios Bid on Top Stars For 2010
Feb 25, 2009Matt Damon, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are all set to star in new movies next year, and although their price tags are high, all are supposed to find studio buyers before the week is over.
Damon would star in The Adjustment Bureau that would include George Nolfi penning the script and also would be his directoral debut. It is loosely based on the short story by Philip K. Dick and would begin production by late summer.
Damon and Nolfi have worked together on both Ocean’s Twelve and The Bourne Ultimatum. The pair will also be collaborating on the upcoming fourth installment of the Bourne franchise.
Also, reportedly zeroing in on a buyer is the B Team, which is an action comedy, directed by Adam McKay (Stepbrothers) starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as cops. The script is written by Chris Henchy who co-wrote the upcoming Ferrell film, The Land of the Lost. Henchy is also a co-executive producer of the HBO’s series, Entourage, of which Wahlberg also is the executive producer.
