Watchmen Goes Mobile
Feb 4, 2009Fans of the award-winning graphic novel, Watchmen, eagerly awaiting the film opening next month can now get updates and trivia sent to their mobile phone by texting "Watchmen" to 58671. Fans can also get exclusive voice/ringtones, trailers, production video blogs, wallpapers and more.
The movie takes place in an alternate 1985 where superheroes have been outlawed and targeted for extinction by vigilante super hero, Rorschach. The other retired superheroes must find a way to prove their innocence before they are killed off one by one.
It stars Patrick Wilson as the Night Owl, Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre, Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan (the only one with real super powers), Matthew Goode as Ozymandias and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian.
Warner Bros’ Watchmen is an adaptation from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon’s 1986 graphic novel of the same name. Zack Snyder (300) directed the film, which debuts in theaters March 6, 2009.
